2018 Scholarship Winners Announced

The Lower Columbia Contractors Association awards scholarship grants to college or vocational/technical school-bound students, who currently intend to pursue studies leading to a career in the building industry, such as: Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, Industrial Design, Carpentry, Electrician, Plumbing, Construction Management.

Flagger Certification

August 22, 2018, 8am-4pm

$75 Members, $100 Non-Members

Learn professional flagging techniques and proper work zone set-up in accordance with standards and guidelines of the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Upon successful completions you will receive your Flagger Certification valid for 3 years.

Do your employees operate a Powered Industrial Truck, better known as a fork lift? We can help lift your firm to success by offering a qualified level fork-lift operator course. Your employees will be trained on the following different Classes of Powered Industrial Trucks: 1, 3, 4, 5 & 7. We will provide classroom training for these types of lifts and a practical evaluation tool to be used at your convenience.

LCCA Membership Appreciation BBQ

Each summer, the LCCA hosts a free barbecue for members. This is a great opportunity to network with other LCCA members in a relaxed environment and learn more about your membership benefits. Do your employees enter confined spaces? Do you know the definition of what a Confined Space is? All employers who have employees enter these types of spaces are required to provide training for their employees. These spaces are items such as:

– Ductwork
– Piping Systems

Note: Confined Space accidents are one of the most common fatality accidents in construction. Attend this course to identify common mistakes and the role of the attendant, entrant and supervisor.

The LCCA hosts an annual one-of-a-kind golf tournament that is the event of choice for light-hearted golfers and non-golfers alike. This highly anticipated event is limited to just 18 teams of four. No matter whether you sponsor or play, the “Cheaters Cup” presents an outstanding marketing and networking opportunity that reaches a large diversified group of members and guests. Proceeds benefit the LCCA Scholarship Fund.

2018 LCCA Scholarship Program – Application Period Open

Scholarship Web BannerThe Lower Columbia Contractors Association will be awarding scholarship grants to college or vocational/technical school-bound students, who currently intend to pursue studies leading to a career in the building industry, such as: Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, Industrial Design, Carpentry, Electrician, Plumbing, Construction Management.

All application packets must be postmarked by April 13, 2018. The selection committee will make its decision in early June. Scholarship recipients will be contacted by mail. All applicants will be mailed notice of their final status.
