The Lower Columbia Contractors Association awards scholarship grants to college or vocational/technical school-bound students, who currently intend to pursue studies leading to a career in the building industry, such as: Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, Industrial Design, Carpentry, Electrician, Plumbing, Construction Management.
2018 Scholarship Award Recipients
- William Trevena, sponsored by Parr Lumber, is a 2015 graduate of Woodland High School currently attending the University of San Diego. He will be using his $1,000 scholarship to pursue a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering.
- Carson Horton, sponsored by Rawhide Electric, is a 2014 graduate of Castle Rock High School currently attending Eastern Washington University. He will be using his $500 scholarship to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Logan Parcel, sponsored by Cascade Title Company, is a 2017 graduate of Three Rivers Christian School. He plans to use his $500 scholarship to pursue a degree in Engineering at Seattle Pacific University.
- Klay Beckers, sponsored by PNE Corp, is a 2017 Graduate of Castle Rock High School currently pursuing Electrical Certification at Perry Technical Institute. He is receiving a $500 scholarship.
- Landon Wood, sponsored by Wood & Wood Homes LLC, is a 2017 graduate of Mark Morris High School. He plans to use his $500 scholarship to pursue a Finance Degree at Pepperdine University.
- Hannah Stinger, sponsored by RE/MAX, is a 2016 graduate of Mark Morris High School currently attending Eastern Washington University. She will use her $250 scholarship to pursue a degree in Education.
- Emily Ashby, sponsored by Rawhide Electric, is a 2018 graduate of Castle Rock High School and Lower Columbia College. She intends to apply her $250 scholarship to pursue a degree in Psychology/Chemistry at Whitworth University.
- Grace Parcel, sponsored by Cascade Title Company, is a 2018 graduate of Three Rivers Christian School. Grace plans use her $250 scholarship to pursue a Nursing Degree at George Fox University.
